On November 20, the Opening Ceremony of the Senior Seminar “Digital Intelligence Empowerment and Digital Transformation” of the 2023 Shanxi Province Professional and Technical Talents Knowledge Update Project was held at Shanxi University of Finance and Economics International Exchange Center. Representatives from the academic community, relevant school leaders, and representatives from teachers and students attended this ceremony. Professor Liang Jiye, Director of the Key Laboratory of Computational Intelligence and Chinese Information Processing at Shanxi University, Chairman of the Academic Committee of Shanxi University, and Chairman of the Shanxi Provincial Computer Society, Mi Zichuan, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shanxi University of Finance and Economics, Bai Jinli, Deputy Director of the Technical Department of the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Shanxi Province, and Gao Ping, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Information of Shanxi University of Finance and Economics, attended and delivered speeches. Li Yi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the School of Information, presided over the opening ceremony of the seminar.

Bai Jinli pointed out that the Senior Seminar was a significant action to implement the spirit of the Central Conference on Talent Work and the Outline of the National 14th Five-Year Plan for Talent Development, as well as an important means to improve the capabilities and quality of professional and technical personnel, with great strategic significance to strengthen the construction of professional and technical talents in our Province and support the high-quality economic and social transformation and development. The holding of the Senior Seminar would accelerate the renewal of the professional and technical knowledge, promote the innovation of key technologies and models of digital transformation, and provide important intellectual support for promoting the transformation and development of Shanxi and the construction of digital ecology.

This senior seminar invited eight well-known experts and scholars from Xiamen University, Tianjin University, Nanjing University, Beijing Jiaotong University, Shanxi University, North Central University, Taiyuan Normal University, and other related fields to conduct eight sessions of course with distinct themes around the theme of "digital intelligence empowerment and digital transformation", share the latest research results and practical experience in digitization, and explore together the path of digital empowerment and digital transformation in the new era.
